SAIC Motor sold 381,000 vehicles in March, up 8.4 percent year-on-year
Sales of new energy vehicles increase year-on-year and month-on-month. In March of this year, sales of new energy vehicles of SAIC Motor reached 85,000 units, up 30 percent year-on-year and 39.1 percent month-on-month, a runner-up among Chinese carmakers. Sales of IM MOTORS in𝕴creased by 49.5 percent year-on-year. At the same time, the IM L6 series, equipped with game-changing technologies such as the Lingxi intelligent digital chassis and the Lightyear solid-state battery, is ready to hit the market. Sales of new energy vehicles of SAIC Passenger Vehicle exceeded 26,000 units, with Roewe NEV sales up 57.7 percent year-on-year driven by the Roewe D7 DMH. Sales of the world’s first open-top electric sports car, MG Cyberster, remained in the top 3 position among its counterparts. SAIC Volkswagen ID.3 showed strong resilience, propelling the monthly sales of ID. series. The series will exceed 10,000 units, marking a 30 percent year-on-year increase. SAIC General Motors delivered nearly 10,000 NEVs, up 49.8 percent year-on-year. SAIC-GM-Wuling sold 42,000 NEVs, up 42 percent year-on-year. Sales of the super A-class sedan Wuling 🎉Starlight reached 11,000 units, while Wuling Bingo sold nearly 13,000 units.
Monthly sales overseas exceeded 100,000. In March, SAIC Motor’s overseas sales reached 105,000 units, up 8.8 percent year-on-year, continuing to lead the Chinese carmakers. The MG brand continued its impressive performance in tꦰhe European market, with monthly sales exceeding 20,000 units and maintaining a year-on-year growth. The world’s first open-top electric sports car, MG Cyberster, recently won three prestigious design awards: the German Red Dot Award: Product Design, the German iF Design Award, and the Japanese G-Mark Good Design Award, setting a new record in the Chinese automotive industry.
