SAIC MG’s internet-based SUV unveiled at Auto Guangzhou
November 10, 2016
SAIC MG’s first SUV made on the internet had its world premiere at the China (Guangzhou) Automobile Exhibition, or Auto Guangzhou, on November 18, 2016.
The new SUV comes after SAIC Motor’s Roewe RX5, the world’s first mass-produced car on the internet, rapidly seized the SUV market following a successful debut in China. MG’s high-profile entry into the internet sector made SAIC the first carmaker to develop internet-based cars across all its brands.
Intelligent internet systems, together with all-new design according to international trends, make the car a top choice for young people. It is a spacious SUV, with fancy headlights and front grills, an embodiment of MG’s new design philosophy that emphasizes mainstream young consumers’ aesthetics. No wonder it was one of the most eye-catching models at this year’s Guangzhou motor show.
